Official Launch of Samsung Innovation Campus 2022-2023

On 21/9, Samsung Vietnam Complex, Samsung Vina Electronics and Junior Achievement Vietnam have officially launched the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) 2022-2023, with the aim to develop high-tech capabilities for the young generation of Vietnam - who will lead the success of Vietnam Fourth Industrial Revolution in the future.
 

Many honorable guests came to the event, including Ms. Ngo Thi Minh – Deputy Minister of Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Choi Joo Ho – Director General of Samsung Vietnam Complex, Mr. Kim Hyun – Vice Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh – Editor in Chief of Dan Tri News.


At the event, Samsung Vietnam, Junior Achievement Vietnam and representatives of educational institutions from Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Langson Province, Hanoi National University of Education, School of Information and Communication Technology – Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hoa Sen University, The System of Internationally Integrated Schools – iSchool sign a Memorandum of Understanding, commit to join hands to implement the Samsung Innovation Campus 2022-2023 in Vietnam.
 
SIC program was officially launched worldwide in 2019. It’s one of the featured Samsung Social responsibility programs that has expanded to 33 nations, including USA, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand… In Vietnam, the program has also been implemented immediately since 2019 and attracted around 3.000 teachers and students to participate in, so far. Samsung representative said, this school year, from 8/2022 to 8/2023, SIC 2022-2023 will continue to deploy training and developing high-teach capabilities for another 3.000 students, teachers nationwide.
 

The program will provide 3 courses of high-tech competency development for adolescents from 14 to 24 years old, including: Internet of things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big data and basic Coding & programming. With other expertise, the project also provides careers guidance to support students during the program.

The program was designed based on educational foundation that combines core technology skills of the future with soft skill and practical work skills.
At the end of the course, students have a chance to participate in many other value activities of the project, such as: Innovation tech challenge. This is one of the SIC’s contests that help students demonstrate their knowledge, skill learned from the program…


Mr. Choi Joo Ho, General manager of Samsung Vietnam emphasize: in order to be proactive in the age of the 4th industrial revolution, when advanced social network and technology has taken over and affected every field, the ability to apply digital technology and digital information system is extremely necessary.
“With the technology application improvement platform, SIC program will provide future core technology courses such as: Coding & programming, AI, IoT, Big data… Hopefully, through this program, Vietnamese young generation will slowly become talented at technology and lead the 4th industrial revolution”, Mr. Choi Joo Ho said.

Mr. Kevin Lee, General Manager of Samsung Vina shared: With the desire to contribute promoting ICT, SIC project has been developed and organized for many years in the row with updated training according to the most practical career skill. The program has been accessing to many universities, high school and secondary school across Vietnam in order to provide necessary knowledge and skill for the young generation in technology, from which to offer comprehensive and practical solutions to solve complex social problems.
