Students in Hanoi participated in “Tech 4 Positive Futures Challenge” to solve current social challenges

Last week, students from six schools in participated in Tech 4 Positive Futures Challenge, co-organized by Capgemini and Junior Achievement Vietnam (JA Vietnam). This initiative aims to equip students with practical skills and knowledge, as well as provide them opportunities to voice their thoughts about current social challenges. “Tech 4 Positive Futures Challenge” is included in The Capgemini Social Activity, gathering Capgemini’s top leaders from all over the world. This activity engage students from 13 – 18 in both public schools and private schools in Hanoi.
 

The topic given to students is “Think of an idea that could improve your society/ local community.” Their working areas are healthcare, environment, and education. In total, tudents attended four sessions, including two online workshops with instructors from JA Vietnam, and two offline mentoring sessions with mentors from Capgemini. The mini contest was held at the end of the fourth session, where students presented their final idea. Two mentoring session was respectively held at Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake and Hanoi Opera House.
 

During two workshops, students brainstormed ideas to help improving their society/local community with the adaptation of STEM/technology. Then, during mentoring sessions, they consulted with Capgemini mentors about financial, human resources, communication planning, and also technology applications.
 
"Tech 4 Positive Futures Challenge" is a great opportunity for our students to access and improve their knowledge related to Sustainable Development and Technology Application. The students were very excited and looking forward to attending such meaningful events in the future.
